Organisation Urges Palliatives Sharing Committees To Be Honest

By Tunde Akanbi, Ilorin

The Hijrah Organisation of Nigeria has called on the committees responsible for distributing Nigerian government palliatives to prioritize honesty in their assignments and serve those in need without any form of bias or intimidation.

The organization, led by University Lecturer Professor Badmas Olanrewaju Yusuf, made this plea during its monthly meeting at the organization’s Secretariat in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.

The organization also extended congratulations to the newly appointed Muslim Ministers and Commissioners, urging them to act as exemplary representatives of Islam and their respective states.

“As Muslims, you represent Islam, and it is essential for you to exhibit good behavior, perform your duties with decorum, and uphold the values of Islam and your states,” the organization stated.

Addressing the recent coup d’état in Niger, the organization praised Nigerian President Bola Tinubu for advocating peace as the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in resolving the crisis in the region.

The organization believes that Tinubu’s involvement in regional matters will enable him to focus on addressing the internal challenges faced by Nigeria, as promised during the pre-election campaign.

The Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Emir of Ilorin, and the Chairman of the State Traditional Council, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, were also commended for their unwavering commitment to maintaining harmony and stability within the state.
