In a historic turn of events, the ancient city of Iseyin in Oyo State has welcomed a new monarch. Prince Olawale Sefiu Oyebola, a resident of the United States of America, has been elected as the 30th Aseyin of Iseyin.

The vacant seat of the Aseyin of Iseyin arose from the passing of Oba Salauwudeen Abdulganiy Adekunle on July 24th, 2022. Following this unfortunate event, the kingmakers convened at the palace, laying the foundation for a momentous decision that would shape the future of Iseyin.

Today, amidst an atmosphere fraught with anticipation, the kingmakers cast their votes, and Prince Olawale Sefiu Oyebola emerged as the unanimous choice. This 55-year-old prince shall now carry the weighty responsibility of continuing the legacy left by his predecessors.
