Bridge International Academies asserts that sports enhance effective learning. Managing Director Foyinsola Akinjayeju explained that athletic activities help students develop qualities such as punctuality, alertness, and fitness.

The upcoming Inter‑Academy Sports Competition in Lagos will showcase pupils’ abilities in marching, beat‑the‑sack, short and long races, and other events. The competition for the Ikorodu, Lekki/Epe, and Ojo‑Badagry regions is scheduled for 6 April, while the Alimosho regions 1 and 2 will compete on 12 April.

Akinjayeju emphasized the importance of a holistic education, stating, “Education is best when it combines the pursuit of academic excellence with the development of character. That is why we are intentional about our co‑curricular activities, and a good reason our pupils excel inside and outside the classroom. This year’s Inter‑Academy Sports Competition is another opportunity to reward pupils who have honed their sports competencies and demonstrated sportsmanship.”

Director of Schools Omotola Francis‑Akinlolu added that extensive preparations have been made to ensure health, safety, security, and a conducive environment for parents and children across all regions. “A lot of work has gone into ensuring that our pupils and their parents have a rewarding time during the competition. We are also in talks with brands that intend to sponsor and provide pupils with many goodies,” she said.
