Afrobeat sensation, Seun Kuti, has expressed his belief that the Big Brother Naija reality show should have been designed as a platform for Nigerian youths to contribute innovative solutions to the country’s challenges.
Kuti shared his thoughts during an interview with Gbenga Aborowa on Spade TV Africa on Monday.
Addressing the popularity and viewership of the BBNaija show, the singer suggested that its immense reach and influence should be harnessed to facilitate impactful initiatives aimed at uplifting the nation.
“BBNaija is the way it is because it was intentionally designed by certain individuals,” Kuti remarked.
“Those individuals could have chosen to create a show where young people engage in discussions about the nation’s issues and collectively come up with solutions. Viewers could then vote for the best solution,” he added.
“This would mean that the youth would transition from mere entertainment to investing their energy in finding solutions for national development.”
