NNL Clarifies Rumors of Abridged Format for 2023, 2024 Season

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has categorically denied the claim that it intends to adopt an abridged format for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

Amar Ignis, the head of media and publicity for the league, stated that this information is entirely false.

Ignis urged all NNL clubs to disregard these baseless rumors and to focus on their preparations for the forthcoming season.

Furthermore, he assured clubs that the specific date for the commencement and the format of the new season will be decided upon during the Annual General Assembly (AGM) meeting, which is set to take place on Friday, September 29th, in Jos, Plateau State.

It is expected that all 40 NNL clubs will be in attendance at this pivotal meeting.
