Real Madrid has identified Brighton head coach, Roberto de Zerbi, as their potential next manager following Carlo Ancelotti’s departure from Santiago Bernabeu.
It appears that Ancelotti will be leaving Real Madrid for the second time at the conclusion of the ongoing 2023/24 season.
Various names have been thrown into the mix as potential candidates to replace the Italian maestro, including Bayer Leverkusen manager and former Real Madrid midfielder, Xabi Alonso.
However, Cadena reports that Real Madrid will be pulling out all the stops to convince De Zerbi to take the helm at Santiago Bernabeu.
De Zerbi, who joined Brighton last season from Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk, swiftly won over the hearts of their fans with his attractive and positive style of football. Under his guidance, the Seagulls achieved an impressive sixth-place finish in the Premier League last season and secured their maiden qualification for European football.
