Mrs. Lauretta Onochie, Chairman of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has called on stakeholders in the Niger Delta region to support the commission’s board and management in fulfilling its mandate. The appeal was conveyed in a statement issued by Dr. Ibitoye Abosede, NDDC Director of Corporate Affairs, on Sunday in Port Harcourt. Onochie stressed the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders, including the commission’s staff, to advance the vision of the new NDDC leadership.

Speaking during the closing remarks of a three‑day board and management retreat in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Onochie urged the people of the region to actively participate in the positive changes taking shape within the commission. She expressed her desire for the NDDC to become an effective interventionist agency and encouraged stakeholders to embrace this new spirit of change. “I urge all our stakeholders to embrace the new spirit of change so that we can all join hands to turn things around for good in the Niger Delta region,” she said.
