“I’ve Repaid Tinubu His £500” – Dele Momodu Tells APC

A former presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, asserts that he has repaid Bola Tinubu, the prominent political figure in Nigeria, the £500 he received from him during his time in exile. Momodu made this statement in response to various interpretations of his interview, where he allegedly pledged unwavering support to Tinubu.

Addressing the issue on X, Momodu expressed his displeasure with the circulation of distorted versions of his interview by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He emphasized that his remark about Tinubu providing him with financial assistance while in London should not be misconstrued as an obligation to be subservient.

Momodu stated, “The APC goons will never tire of circulating their own version of the interview I granted @chudeity a few years ago. They are so obsessed with the part I said Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu gave me 500 pounds in London during our exile years, as if that means I must become a perpetual slave because of that well-appreciated support.”

In response to the criticism, he explained, “Truth is, I repaid that favor a thousandfold, in ways I’m not willing to divulge, but the most common manner being free and regular publicity on Ovation platforms, which amounts to thousands of dollars. It is called ‘adding value…'”

Furthermore, Dele Momodu clarified that nowhere did he state that he would provide unconditional support to Tinubu. He shared the full video of the interview to reaffirm his position.

By virtue of his resilience and relentless efforts in the face of adversity, Dele Momodu has carved a niche for himself as a prominent figure in Nigerian politics and media. His ability to repay the support he received from Tinubu through valuable contributions on Ovation platforms demonstrates his commitment to reciprocating kindness in his own unique way.

In conclusion, it is essential to highlight the significance of Dele Momodu’s assertion that he has repaid Tinubu’s generosity in manifold ways. This statement serves as a reminder that gratitude and reciprocation can take various forms, including leveraging media platforms to add value and support the causes that matter.
