Chief of Army Staff Assures Personnel of Prioritized Welfare

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, has reiterated his commitment to prioritizing the welfare of Nigerian Army personnel. In a recent statement by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. OZnyema Nwachukwu, the Army chief assured soldiers that their well-being is of utmost importance.

During the Passing Out Parade of 6,000 Recruits of the 85 Regular Recruit Intake, Gen. Lagbaja emphasized the need to provide soldiers with suitable accommodation, especially when they are not on the frontline. He stated, “Soldiers deserve the best accommodation the service can provide, and we will ensure that efforts are made to renovate existing facilities and provide additional ones.”

Furthermore, the Chief of Army Staff highlighted plans to enhance the service delivery of Army hospitals nationwide. Gen. Lagbaja stressed that these improvements are crucial to effectively handle battle casualties and ensure the well-being of soldiers.

As part of his commitment to troops’ welfare, Gen. Lagbaja also mentioned ongoing efforts to renovate accommodation facilities that are in a deplorable state. By addressing these issues, the Chief of Army Staff aims to create a conducive living environment for soldiers, thus boosting morale and overall performance.
