The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, was represented on Tuesday by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police for Zone 7, Kayode Egbetokun, during the unveiling of the newly-built police division headquarters in Mabushi, located in the Federal Capital Territory. This new facility was donated by Stallion Property and Development Company Limited as part of its corporate social responsibility to the community. In his opening remarks, the AIG expressed gratitude to Stallion Property and Development Company, describing their contribution as commendable and a worthy example for others to follow.

The spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, shared details of the event in a statement obtained by our correspondent on Tuesday night. During the ceremony, the Commissioner of Police for the FCT, Dr. Sadiq Abubakar, delivered a vote of thanks, urging officers to utilize the new building effectively. He emphasized the importance of reducing crime and criminality in the area while promoting community-based policing, respect for fundamental human rights, and adherence to global best practices.

Adeh further reported that the Commissioner of Police assured residents of the FCT of the command’s unwavering commitment to their safety, stating that they should be able to sleep peacefully. He encouraged residents to continue partnering with the police by providing timely and actionable intelligence to help maintain security in the community.
