38-year-old security guard commits suicide in Gombe

A 38-year-old security guard, Abdullahi Ardo, has dedicated suicide in Gombe State on Monday.

The spokesman for the Bauchi State Police Command, Mahid Abubakar, revealed this on his official X deal with on Tuesday.

According to him, the deceased, who works at Child Care Development Primary School, used a rope to hold himself on the swing pole.

He urged residents to all the time examine on their family members, saying they might be dealing with life-threatening issues.

He wrote, “Please SAY NO to SUICIDE and preach against it. A 38-year-old Mallam Abdullahi Ardo attached to Child Care Development Primary School as a watchman, was suspected to have committed suicide in the early hours of Monday by hanging himself using a piece of rag on a swinging pole within the school at Tudun Wada qtrs Gombe.

“This is a sad event; endeavour to check on your loved ones; they might be facing serious problems that may affect their lives,” he added.
