Seun Kuti Confronts Man Threatening to Kill Him at Airport

Seun Kuti, the renowned Afrobeat singer, confronted a man named Solomon Idowu at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos after Idowu allegedly threatened to harm him.

The incident, captured in a now-viral video, depicts a heated altercation between Seun and Idowu, with Seun preventing Idowu from presenting his passport for boarding a US-bound aircraft.

Idowu, claiming to be American, protested Seun’s actions, stating, “You just put your hands on me. You’re gonna find out because this is not going to end well for you. Don’t make me make phone calls. I am going home.”

Seun firmly asserted that Idowu would not leave the country until they resolved the matter in Nigeria, stating, “Nobody is taking your passport. You are not going anywhere. You have a case to answer in this country.”

Furthermore, Idowu was accused of threatening to kill Seun Kuti if the musician travelled to Chicago. However, in a subsequent video, Idowu clarified that no harm would befall Seun if he traveled to Chicago, taking responsibility for the miscommunication and expressing his commitment to ensuring Seun’s safety.
