House of Reps Pledges to Bolster Security Agencies for Tackling National Security Challenges

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has expressed the commitment of the 10th National Assembly to fortify the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies in addressing the prevalent security challenges in the country.

Speaking at a two-day post-inauguration retreat for members of the House Committee on Defence, Abbas stressed the need for a collaborative approach in addressing the complex security issues in the nation.

In a statement by Mr. Musa Krishi, the Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Speaker, Abbas advocated for a comprehensive strategy towards national security, emphasizing the urgency to enhance the capabilities of the Armed Forces and other security agencies.

The Speaker affirmed that the 10th House of Representatives is resolute in its commitment to support the initiatives of security agencies through adequate funding, provision of modern equipment, training, and improved welfare packages for security personnel.
