The governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has termed the recent Appeal Court ruling that invalidated his election as a “temporary setback.” He emphasized that this development would not hinder his efforts in revitalizing the state.

In a press release issued by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, Mutfwang expressed unwavering confidence in the restoration of the overwhelming mandate bestowed upon him by the citizens. He has directed his legal team to appeal the verdict at the Supreme Court.

Mutfwang, urging the citizens of Plateau State and the supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to maintain their composure, reassured them that “as long as God remains on the throne, the people’s mandate will be upheld and safeguarded.”

Furthermore, he reiterated his dedication to upholding the rule of law and assured the populace that there is hope on the horizon. “We maintain steadfast faith in the judiciary and the Constitution of Nigeria,” he emphasized.
