New Kwara FRSC Sector Commander Assumes Duty

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kwara State has welcomed its new Sector Commander, Corps Commander Stephen Dawulung. He officially assumed duty on Friday, 17th November, as confirmed in a statement by the Sector’s Public Relations Officer, SRC Buhari Basambo.

Upon his arrival, Commander Dawulung was warmly received by senior officers of the Command. In his address to the Officers and Men during a parade held in his honor, he emphasized the need for heightened commitment to reducing road traffic fatalities and injuries in Kwara State and its environs, while strongly advocating against all forms of corruption.

Furthermore, Commander Dawulung convened a strategy meeting with all Heads of Departments and Units, urging them to execute their duties with unwavering firmness and impartiality.

Emphasizing the importance of adhering to road traffic rules and regulations, Dawulung advised motorists to prioritize safety to mitigate the risk of road traffic accidents. He also encouraged the public to contribute valuable ideas and suggestions towards creating a safer motoring environment in Kwara State.

In bidding farewell to his predecessor, Commander Dawulung expressed his commitment to leveraging the existing collaboration between the Kwara Sector Command and relevant stakeholders to fulfill the mandate of the Corps.

Corps Commander Stephen E. Dawulung holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics and a Masters in Law and Diplomacy. Prior to his appointment as the 20th Sector Commander in Kwara State, he oversaw the Transport Section of the Technical Services Department at the FRSC Headquarters in Abuja.
