Kogi Guber: Why I’ll not contest APC’s victory at tribunal – Dino Melaye

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the recently concluded Kogi governorship poll, Dino Melaye, has insisted that he will not contest the electoral victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the November 11 election because he has lost confidence in the judiciary.

Melaye, who stated this on Wednesday, insisted that the Judiciary is no longer the last hope of the ordinary Nigerians.

“Judiciary is no longer the last hope of the ordinary people, it’s now a department under the All Progressives Congress,” Melaye said.

“Why should any responsible person go to the tribunal when the APC has captured the judiciary? I’ve lost complete confidence in the judiciary.”

Recall that APC’s Usman Ododo was declared winner of the governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Ododo defeated Melaye and Social Democratic Party, SDP’s Muri Ajaka to emerge winner.
