Bayelsa United’s Robert Mizo Encourages Teammates to Stay Focused Amid Relegation Battle

Bayelsa United’s forward, Robert Mizo, is rallying his teammates as they gear up for a crucial Nigeria Premier Football League match against Plateau United in their bid to stave off relegation.

The Prosperity Boys suffered a setback in a 2-0 loss to Rivers United during a rescheduled fixture at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Thursday. Mizo acknowledged the disappointment but emphasized the need for resilience and a strong comeback against Plateau United on Sunday.

“The defeat at Rivers was tough for us. Naturally, we feel disappointed, but we are resilient and focused on coming back stronger,” Mizo expressed to NPFL troll.

Assessing their position in the table, Mizo acknowledged the challenging circumstances but underscored the team’s dedication to leveraging their strengths, intensifying their training efforts, and translating them into tangible results on the pitch.

“With our current standing, it’s undeniably a demanding position to be in. However, we are honing in on our strengths, toiling in training, and striving to translate these endeavors into positive outcomes during the match,” Mizo remarked.

He stressed the significance of their upcoming game against Plateau United, highlighting the team’s collective focus on securing a vital three points in the encounter.

“As we look ahead to the showdown with Plateau United on Sunday, our singular focus is on clinching those essential three points,” Mizo declared.

The match is scheduled to take place at the New Jos Stadium at 4pm, as both teams brace themselves for a pivotal clash.
