Dangote ranks second best performing Sub-Saharan African company

In a recent report by African Financials, Dangote Group has solidified its position as the second-best performing company in Sub-Saharan Africa, excluding South Africa. The business consultancy firm’s research also highlights the exceptional performance of South Africa’s MTN Group and other companies within the region.

The top 30 companies in Sub-Saharan Africa, by market capitalization, were thoroughly analyzed in the report, providing a comprehensive overview of the region’s economic landscape. This research, updated as of November 2023, excludes South African companies and underscores the remarkable achievements of companies such as Dangote.

Notably, the report indicates a surge in confidence within Africa’s business network, stating that “Sub-Saharan Africa’s (excluding South Africa’s) stock markets rose by 7.2% in US$ terms in November and are down 12.8% year to date.”
