Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane trained with the ball for the first time in three months on Wednesday, just two weeks before the club’s crucial clash against Paris Saint‑Germain. The 30‑year‑old participated in the Tuesday morning session, marking his return to the training pitch one week after resuming practice. Mane suffered a tendon injury in his leg during Bayern’s 6‑1 victory over Werder Bremen in November; the injury required surgery and forced him to miss Senegal’s World Cup campaign in Qatar.
Bayern will travel to Paris for the first leg of the Champions League last‑16 tie on 14 February, with the return fixture scheduled in Munich on 8 March. Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann had previously said he “would not count on” the reigning African Player of the Year being available for the first leg. Since joining Bayern from Liverpool in the summer of 2022, Mane has scored 11 goals in 23 games across all competitions this year.
