Nigeria Plans to Convert Police Vehicles to Clean Energy for National Security

The Nigerian government has announced its intention to convert police vehicles to cleaner energy across the country as part of efforts to combat insecurity.
During a visit to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Egbetokun in Abuja, Mr. Khalil Halilu, the Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, revealed this initiative. He emphasized the crucial role of the Nigeria Police in safeguarding lives and property, emphasizing the necessity of vehicles and transportation assets for effective response to security emergencies.
Mr. Halilu outlined two main objectives of the collaboration with NASENI: to modernize Nigeria Police vehicle maintenance workshops nationwide and to refurbish non-operational police vehicles. He expressed NASENI’s commitment to enhancing national security in alignment with the Federal Government’s renewed hope agenda.
In response, IGP Egbetokun praised the collaboration and expressed enthusiasm for the conversion of police vehicles to cleaner energy. He eagerly anticipates the positive impact this collaboration will have on the Nigeria Police’s operations.
