Nigeria Women’s Football League Resumes After Mid-Season Break

The 2024 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) is set to resume today following a two-week mid-season break. Matchday eight fixtures will unfold across various league venues as teams gear up for the next phase of competition.

In Group A, Confluence Queens will clash with Naija Ratels at the Iyamho Stadium, Auchi. Additionally, Abia Angels will face off against Dannaz Ladies at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba. Meanwhile, Heartland Queens will play host to Adamawa Queens at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, and Nasarawa Amazons will take on Royal Queens at the Lafia City Stadium.

Group B will feature Ekiti Queens against Remo Stars Ladies at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, while Sunshine Queens will compete with Delta Queens at the Akure Township Stadium. Other matches include Edo Queens versus Bayelsa Queens, and Rivers Angels versus Robo Queens, scheduled for the Samuett muel Ogbemudia Stadium and the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, respectively.

As it stands, Heartland Queens and Rivers Angels lead the tables in their respective groups. The playoffs will see three teams from each group vying for the league championship title.
