The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has appealed to the Federal Government for additional time to sell Premium Motor Spirits at the official price of N195 per litre. The request was made on Monday in Ibadan by Joseph Akanni, Vice Chairman of IPMAN’s Western Zone. In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, Akanni said that all chairmen of the association will soon convene a meeting in Abuja.

“We have pleaded with the authority to give us time to sell off the products, this is against the backdrop that our members want to go on rampage,” Akanni explained. He added that the association has instructed its members not to purchase petroleum products at prices higher than the official pump price, stating, “We have also advised our members not to buy any products that they can’t sell at N195 per litre according to the Federal Government guideline.”
