Military Vows to Defeat Armed Groups for Safer Nigeria

The Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, has made it clear that the military will not back down in the face of those who have taken up arms against the nation. In a recent briefing in Abuja, he emphasized the unwavering determination of the armed forces to bring these enemies to their knees.

Buba highlighted the importance of the support of the people in this ongoing battle, stating that the military relies on the total and unconditional backing of the civilian population. He stressed that with the collective support of the citizens, the troops can effectively combat terrorism and other criminal activities across the country.

It is crucial for citizens to understand their role in ensuring the safety and security of the nation. Buba pointed out that many of the security challenges, such as banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, illegal mining, and secession movements, are fueled by individuals seeking personal gain.

The military acknowledges the tough road ahead in the fight against these threats but remains steadfast in their mission to defeat the terrorists and their allies. The ultimate goal is to cripple their ability to continue their violent activities.

It is time for every citizen to recognize their responsibility to the nation and actively contribute to creating a safer environment for all. The military is committed to upholding the peace and security of the country, but they cannot do it alone. With the support of the people, victory against these adversaries is within reach.
