Donny van de Beek Leaves Manchester United, Club Terminates Coach’s Contract

Donny van de Beek has officially left Manchester United to join Spanish side Girona. The LaLiga club will pay a €500,000 fixed fee plus several add-ons for the Dutch midfielder. According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, “Easy add-ons to bring the fee up to €4/5m plus extra add-ons can make it €15m. Contract until June 2028. #MUFC will also have sell-on clause.”

In addition to Van de Beek’s departure, Erik ten Hag’s assistant coach, Mitchell van der Gaag, is also leaving Manchester United. Van der Gaag’s exit follows the arrival of Ruud van Nistelrooy at the club. Romano confirmed the news, tweeting, “Ten Hag’s assistant Mitchell van der Gaag leaves Man Utd as contract will be terminated. Ruud van Nistelrooy’s arrival, 100% confirmed.”
