Nigeria’s Plateau United Offers Lucrative Rewards for Top Performers in Upcoming Season

Lagos, Nigeria – In a move to boost team morale and incentivize exceptional performance, Plateau United, a top-tier Nigerian football club, has announced a reward scheme for outstanding players ahead of the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

According to Habila Mutla, the club’s general manager, the initiative is aimed at motivating players to deliver their best on the pitch. “We believe that recognizing and rewarding individual excellence will not only drive performance but also foster a sense of unity and purpose within the team,” Mutla explained.

Under the new reward system, the first player to reach 10 goals in the league will receive a significant prize of N1 million (approximately $2,200 USD). Meanwhile, the goalkeeper who achieves 10 clean sheets will be awarded N500,000 (around $1,100 USD).

Plateau United will kick off their NPFL campaign on Saturday, August 31, with a matchday one encounter against newly promoted El-Kanemi Warriors. The team is expected to face stiff competition from other top-tier clubs, but with this reward system in place, they are eager to put their best foot forward and claim the top spot.

The 2024-25 NPFL season promises to be an exciting one, with top players vying for individual honors and team success. With Plateau United’s new reward scheme, the competition is sure to heat up, and fans are eagerly anticipating the start of the season.
