Czech Republic midfielder Jakub Jankto has publicly declared to be referred to as a gay.
On Monday, the Sparta Prague player said in a video posted on Twitter saying, “I no longer want to hide myself.
“Like everybody else, I want to live my life with freedom, without fears, without prejudice, without violence, but with love.
“I am homosexual and I no longer want to hide myself.”
Sparta Prague’s official Twitter account retweeted the video saying, “You have our support. Live your life, Jakub,” the club added.
The 27-year-old player has made 45 appearances for the Czech national side.
He has also played for Italian clubs Sampdoria and Udinese.
