UCL: Bid for all Dortmund players – Carragher mocks Todd Boehly

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has mocked Chelsea owners after the West London side were beaten by German club Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League round of sixteen on Wednesday.

Carragher took a sarcastic dig at Todd Boehly, telling the American to submit a bid for all Dortmund players.

Chelsea had more possession and shots on target than the German side but still extended their winless streak to nine as Karim Adeyemi’s goal on the break was enough to give the hosts the advantage.

Boehly and Behdad Eghbahli watched the match from the stands and their team recorded another poor result despite a markedly improved performance.

Carragher said on Sky Sports: “It’s interesting you say that I mean the whole squad’s there. It’s just come through on social media, Todd Boehly’s put in a bid for the whole squad of Dortmund!”

Chelsea spent over £280 this winter transfer window but the big-money spending is yet to translate to on-field performance.
