The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control says products worth over N326m were destroyed at Lafia, Nasarawa State.

NAFDAC made this known on Thursday evening in a post on its official Twitter handle, @NafdacAgency.

The agency tweeted, “Today, products worth N326,833,592.80 were destroyed at the North-Central destruction exercise which took place at Lafia, Nasarawa State.”

According to the picture and video posted by the agency, cartons of pharmaceuticals, soft drinks, and other products were destroyed.

NAFDAC is responsible for regulating and controlling the manufacture, importation, exportation, advertisement, distribution, sale, and use of food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, chemicals, and packaged water.
