BREAKING: Customs revenue increased by 90.4%, hit N6.1trn in 2024 – CG, Adeniyi

The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adeniyi, said the service collected N6.1 trillion in revenue in 2024, a 90.4 percent increase from N3.2 trillion recorded in 2023.
C.G Adeniyi, disclosed this in a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

Adeniyi noted that the service surpassed its 2024 revenue target of N5.07 trillion by 22 percent.

According to him, the Nigeria Customs Service recorded the highest revenue collection in October, when it collected N603 billion.

“Unprecedented performance in 2024, the service recorded N6.105.315 trillion. This is above the N5.07 trillion 2024 revenue target by 22 percent, “he stated.
