Benue: Gov Alia appoints Abubakar Adamu as new head of pilgrims welfare board

Governor Hyacinth Alia has approved the appointment of Alh. Abubakar Adamu as the Chairman of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

The appointment, according to a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Tersoo Kula, takes immediate effect.

Kula noted that with Adamu’s experience and proven track record, the governor believes that he “will be able to properly and diligently steer the affairs of Muslim pilgrims” in the state at all times.

While congratulating the new appointee, the governor emphasized the importance of upholding the ideals of the administration, urging him to prioritize the interests of Benue State in all his official engagements, as encapsulated in the administration’s vision and mission.

The governor charged the new chairman of the board to familiarize himself with the vision and mission of the administration, as outlined in the blueprint titled “A Strategic Plan for a Greater Benue,” which will serve as a guide.
