Europa League: Amorim adds two players to Man Utd squad ahead of Sociedad second leg

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has added Tyler Fredricson and James Scanlon to their Europa League squad ahead of Thursday’s last-16 second leg against Real Sociedad.

United go into the knockout tie at Old Trafford with the tie finely poised at 1-1 from the first leg in Spain.

Amorim is currently without several players due to an injury crisis in his squad.

Lisandro Martínez, Amad Diallo, Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, Leny Yoro, Harry Maguire, Altay Bayındır, and Jonny Evans are all unavailable for the game.

This has now seen Amorim turning to youngsters to fill out his bench.

In recent games, Amorim has used teenage striker Chido Obi amid his huge list of absences.

The 17-year-old has impressed coming off the bench but is not eligible to play in the competition.
