The President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has narrated how former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, demolished and frustrated the citing of his cement plant in Itori, Ewekoro LGA of the state.

Dangote said the frustration by the former governor made him abandon the investment until the coming of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration.

Dangote disclosed this in a viral video sighted by Media Talk Africa on Monday.

The video was from his recent visit to Governor Abiodun.

Dangote said, “The factory we are visiting now in Itori is because of his excellency that we are coming back. It was demolished twice. We started building it, and Governor Amosun will demolish it.

“The second time we restarted again, he demolished it, including the fence. So we left. But right now we are coming back with his excellency, my brother Dapo Abiodun.”

The project is a six million tonnes per annum cement plant, which would make the state the largest cement producer in the country.

Amosun reigned as governor of Ogun State from May 29, 2011, to May 29, 2019, and was succeeded by Abiodun.
