Despite constant reminders from Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis that the Nigeria international is not for sale, several top European clubs continue to monitor the striker. La Liga giants Atlético Madrid and English Premier League side Chelsea are the latest to show interest, according to Sports Extra.

The 24‑year‑old scored again on Friday against Sassuolo, bringing his league tally to 18 goals for the season. Since joining Napoli in the summer of 2020, Osimmen has become a key figure at the Diego Maradona Stadium and is a major reason the Parthenopeans are on course to win their first league title in over three decades. He netted his 100th career goal in Napoli’s 2‑0 victory on Friday and currently leads the Serie A scoring charts.

Osimhen is one of the most sought‑after forwards in Europe, with Manchester United believed to be leading the race for the former Lille player. A new development reported by the Italian publication Il Maltino notes that scouts from both Atlético Madrid and Chelsea attended the match at Stadio Mapei – Città del Tricolore to watch the in‑form striker. The outlet highlighted that Osimhen has scored in seven consecutive games, surpassing the rate of former Azzurri striker Gonzalo Higuaín, and has amassed 16 goals in his last 14 matches. It suggested that his record‑breaking form could see him challenge historic goal‑scoring feats, and that numerous intermediaries from Chelsea and Atlético were present to take notes.

Napoli confirmed that Osimhen trained on Sunday and will be available for their UEFA Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday. The club’s statement said the team trained on field 3, beginning with activation drills, followed by a small‑sided game and tactical work. Osimhen participated in the entire session, after which the squad will train again the next morning before departing for Frankfurt.
