Lithuania and Taiwan sign cooperation agreements

Deputy Ministers of Economy of Taiwan and Lithuania signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of laser technology – under which both countries will jointly establish a research and development centre for experimental and innovative research in Taiwan, the Taiwan Ministry of Economy announced on Tuesday.

In addition, during the Lithuanian government’s and business representatives’ visit, two more memoranda are being signed: the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK) will sign them with two local industrial and commercial associations. This will aim to promote bilateral exchange and industry cooperation.

The memorandum of cooperation in the field of laser technology was signed on Monday by Taiwan’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Chern-Chyi C.C. Chen, and Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation, Karolis Žemaitis, as reported by the Taiwan Ministry.

Taiwan’s Minister of Economy, Mei-Hua Wang, said that the agreement will create meaningful opportunities for the advanced technology industry in both countries.
