Nigeria has announced a new date for the opening of its recruitment portal for paramilitary agencies. The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has confirmed that the portal will be accessible from July 14, 2025. This update comes after a previous announcement that the portal was set to open on a different date.
According to a statement issued by the Secretary to the board, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril, in Abuja on Wednesday, prospective applicants can now apply online through the official website at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng. The board emphasized that the application process remains free of charge, and applicants should be cautious of any attempts to demand payment.
Jubril apologized for any inconvenience caused by the change in the recruitment portal’s opening date, stating, “This application does not attract any payment, and any inconvenience caused by this change is highly regretted.” The News Agency of Nigeria reported that the initial plan was to open the portal on Thursday through a different website, https://recruitment.cdcfib.org.
The paramilitary agencies involved in the recruitment process include the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and Federal Fire Service (FFS). These agencies play crucial roles in maintaining national security, correcting and rehabilitating offenders, regulating immigration, and providing fire safety services.
The announcement serves as a reminder to interested applicants to mark their calendars for July 14, 2025, and to apply through the designated website. With the application process being free, the board aims to attract a diverse pool of candidates who are passionate about serving their country in these critical roles. As the recruitment process gets underway, it is essential for applicants to be aware of the correct application portal and to adhere to the guidelines set by the CDCFIB to avoid any issues or disqualification.
The CDCFIB’s decision to postpone the opening of the recruitment portal may have caused some inconvenience, but it demonstrates the board’s commitment to ensuring a seamless and fair application process. As Nigeria continues to strengthen its paramilitary agencies, this recruitment drive is an opportunity for individuals to contribute to the country’s safety and security. With the new date set, prospective applicants can now prepare to take the first step towards a career in these vital services.
