Turkey: Galatasaray fans' passion could keep Osimhen at club - Nihat Kahveci

Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk said the club will assess Victor Osimhen’s fitness before deciding whether he can play in the upcoming Champions League match against Liverpool. Osimhen, who returned to action with a brief cameo in the team’s 1‑0 win over Alanyaspor on Friday, had missed the previous three games because of an ankle injury sustained on international duty earlier this month. Despite his appearance, Buruk noted that the Nigerian striker is still experiencing pain and that his condition will be closely monitored before the next match.

Galatasaray will host Liverpool at Rams Park for the Champions League Matchday Two encounter on Tuesday, a highly anticipated fixture in which Osimhen’s possible involvement is a key factor in the team’s preparations. The medical staff will continue to work with the striker to manage his pain and ensure he is ready for the challenging game.

The match is expected to be closely contested, with both sides aiming to secure vital points. The outcome will depend on team strategy, player performance and overall fitness levels. As the club prepares for Liverpool, the coaching staff will focus on having all players, including Osimhen, in top condition to compete at the highest level.
