APC begins consultations to replace Ganduje

2027: Kwankwaso moving back to APC, NNPP dead - Ganduje

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has confirmed plans to replace Abdullahi Ganduje who recently resigned as the party’s National Chairman.

Felix Morka, the APC National Publicity Secretary, told Channels Television on Sunday that consultations are ongoing.

Ganduje resigned from the party’s exalted position last week, citing urgent and personal matters.

Morka said the ruling party was making a swift move to install another National Chairman as the position must not be left unoccupied.

“We will take steps immediately to fill that vacancy,” he said during the interview.

According to him, no date has been fixed for the party’s National Executive Committee, NEC, but that would be done in the coming days.

He said the NEC will be done really soon when further asked how soon the process might be concluded.

“As we speak, that process has been triggered, and consultations are ongoing,” he added.

President Bola Tinubu has already directed the Deputy National Chairman (North), Ali Bukar Dalori, to occupy the office in an acting capacity for now.

Ganduje took over as the ruling party’s National Chairman in August 2023, replacing Abdullahi Adamu who had also resigned from the position.
