#NigeriaElections2023: Tinubu polls 201,494 votes to win in Ekiti

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the final results of the presidential election in Ekiti State on Sunday. Prof. Akeem Lasisi, the State Collation Officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences in Ila Orangun, Osun State, presented the results at the State Collation Centre in Ado Ekiti. After collating the results from all 16 local government areas, it was revealed that Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), emerged victorious in the state.

According to Prof. Lasisi, the APC secured a total of 201,494 votes, significantly outpacing other candidates. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received 89,554 votes, while the Labour Party garnered 11,397 votes. The New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) received 264 votes. Lasisi provided additional details, stating that Ekiti State has a total of 988,923 registered voters, with 315,058 accredited voters. The total valid votes cast were 308,171, while 6,301 votes were rejected, resulting in a total of 314,470 votes cast in the election.
