Kaffy, 45, recalled a particular instance where a man outrightly disqualified her for dating or marriage simply because she is a single mother. The dancer-turned-entrepreneur expressed her concerns, saying, “What makes you think that a woman who has been divorced is not a better candidate if she has worked on herself? What’s the guarantee that two single people today won’t be divorced tomorrow?” Kaffy also questioned the societal pressure to marry someone “fresh,” highlighting the fact that over 70% of marriages end in divorce, regardless of the partners’ previous marital status.

She married Joseph Ameh, a music director and drummer for the popular Nigerian music group P-Square, in 2015, but the couple divorced in January 2022.
