Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State, has officially launched his campaign in anticipation of the March 11 governorship election. During his address to supporters in Zing and Yorro Local Government Areas, Bwacha pledged to address insecurity and create job opportunities for the residents of the state. He emphasized that Taraba has suffered from a lack of development due to poor leadership and asserted that it is time to change the current narrative.
If elected, Bwacha promised that his administration would prioritize security, harness the state’s agricultural potential, and empower the youth across all 16 local government areas. He highlighted the need for the people of Taraba State to experience the true benefits of democracy, asserting that only the APC can facilitate this change. “Do not allow anyone to deceive you that the APC has no governorship candidate in Taraba State. I am the legitimate governorship candidate of the APC because we conducted fresh primaries, and I emerged as the winner. INEC and all other authorities are aware, and if necessary, we have the capacity to go to court,” he stated.
Additionally, Mr. Ibrahim El-sudi, the Taraba State APC Chairman, criticized the ruling People’s Democratic Party for creating divisions among the populace along ethnic and religious lines. He urged the citizens to come out in large numbers on March 11, 2023, to support Bwacha in his bid for governor.
