Kaduna State Deputy Governor Hadiza Balarabe has attributed the administration’s policies under Governor Uba Sani to building trust in governance. The administration has invested in peace-building initiatives, including the Kaduna State Peace Commission, which mediates conflicts and promotes reconciliation across communities. According to Balarabe, these efforts have strengthened trust and contributed to a more secure and hopeful future.
Balarabe made these remarks during a courtesy call by a delegation from the Joint Initiative for Strategic Religious Action (JISRA), led by Country Coordinator MJude Likita, at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House. She commended JISRA for its work in promoting peace, interfaith dialogue, and freedom of religion, stating that their activities align with the state’s vision of a peaceful, just, and prosperous Kaduna.
The deputy governor praised JISRA’s programs for advancing justice, inclusion, and respect for human dignity, which helps to nurture societies where differences are seen as strengths rather than weaknesses. She described JISRA as a true partner in peace-building, citing their efforts to bridge divides, empower women and youth, and foster interfaith cooperation.
Balarabe noted that JISRA’s activities complement the state’s own programs, and the administration is committed to continuing its support and collaboration. She emphasized that together, they can consolidate gains and ensure that peace, justice, and inclusion become permanent features of the state.
Under Governor Uba Sani’s leadership, the administration remains committed to promoting justice, protecting citizens’ rights, and fostering inclusion as the foundation for peace and stability. Balarabe stated that these values are already yielding results, with the state experiencing relative calm, progress, and renewed confidence.
The administration has established mechanisms for citizen engagement, including the Kaduna Elders Forum, which brings together respected religious leaders, traditional authorities, and statesmen to advise and interface with the government. The Bureau of Interfaith Affairs also works consistently with religious bodies to deepen trust, dialogue, and harmony among faith communities.
The collaboration between the Kaduna State government and JISRA is expected to continue, with a focus on consolidating gains and promoting peace, justice, and inclusion in the state. With the administration’s commitment to recognizing and respecting citizens’ voices, faith leaders, and diverse thoughts and groups, Kaduna State is poised to make significant progress in building a more secure and hopeful future.
