Value Jet Airlines has announced that commercial flights will commence from Gateway International Airport in Ogun State, Nigeria, beginning on October 7. The airline will operate two flights per week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, linking the airport with Abuja. This service follows regulatory approval confirming that the airport’s state‑of‑the‑art facilities meet required standards.
The GWI‑Abuja route will depart Gateway International Airport at 8:30 am and arrive in Abuja at 9:45 am. Return flights from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja will leave at 4:00 pm, landing at GWI at 5:15 pm. Tickets will be available online, through travel agents, and at the airport’s ticket desks starting September 25.
The new service is expected to improve connectivity for travelers from Ibadan, Ogun State, Abuja, and Lagos, offering an alternative route to the capital and beyond via Ogun State. The modern facilities at Gateway International Airport will be a significant advantage for passengers.
