'We had a medical emergency' - 2Face Idibia reacts to alleged arrest in London [VIDEO]

Nigerian music star 2Face Idibia, also known as 2Baba, has denied reports that he was arrested in London. Media Talk Africa claimed the singer was taken into custody on Thursday after a heated argument with his wife, Natasha Osawaru, and the story gained traction when 2Face failed to perform at his London tour that same day.

In a video posted to his Instagram account on Friday morning, 2Face dismissed the arrest rumors as false. He explained his absence by citing a medical emergency, saying, “We had a medical emergency. It was tough for the show organizers, and everybody that came out, we will rebook, we will come out with something to happen.” He also urged fans not to spread unverified information: “And please, if you know something, make una no talk, I beg.”

The medical emergency has raised concerns among fans who were looking forward to his performance. However, 2Face’s management team has not provided further details about the nature of the emergency or when the rescheduled show will take place. The London tour is part of his ongoing world tour, which has seen him perform in various cities across the globe. As one of Africa’s most renowned musicians, 2Face Idibia enjoys a significant global following, with a career spanning over two decades and numerous awards and accolades.

The initial report also incorrectly named his spouse as Natasha Osawaru; 2Face has been publicly married to Annie Idibia. This correction underscores the importance of verifying information before sharing it publicly. The incident serves as a reminder of the impact of misinformation on public figures and the need to rely on official channels for accurate updates. 2Face’s management is expected to provide further information on the rescheduled concert and the singer’s condition, and fans and well‑wishers will be awaiting news on his upcoming performances and overall well‑being.
