BBNaija 10: Delta governor's aide threatens to sue organizers over Dede's loss to Imisi

Big Brother Naija Season 10 has concluded, with Imisi crowned the winner of the “Ten Over Ten” edition and taking home the N150 million grand prize. The result, however, has been clouded by accusations of regional bias. Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, claimed on his X account that the show was manipulated to prevent another Delta State native from winning, noting that Kellyrae from the same state had won the previous season.

First‑runner‑up Dede Ashiogwu dismissed these allegations, affirming that Imisi’s victory was legitimate and well‑earned. Speaking at the prize‑presentation ceremony held at the MultiChoice office in Lagos, Dede emphasized that the outcome was determined solely by the votes, with Imisi receiving the highest tally. “She got the highest number, and she won. She truly deserves it,” she said, expressing admiration for the winner.

The controversy has sparked debate among fans and viewers, but Dede is focusing on her future plans. She revealed her intention to pursue a career in the entertainment and creative industries, particularly acting, and declared, “Everything amazing, everything we don’t know, everything we’ve never seen, that’s what I’m bringing.”

Big Brother Naija consistently attracts significant attention and engagement from audiences across Africa and beyond. The show’s organizers, MultiChoice, have not commented on the regional‑bias allegations. As Season 10’s dust settles, fans eagerly anticipate the next edition, while Dede and other contestants embark on post‑show journeys, exploring various opportunities in the entertainment sector. With the prize money and recognition that accompany a win, Imisi is set to forge her own path, potentially inspiring a new generation of reality‑TV contestants. The episode underscores the importance of fairness and transparency in voting processes, ensuring that contestants are judged solely on merit and public support. As the reality‑TV landscape evolves, programmes like Big Brother Naija remain a vital part of African popular culture, offering a platform for talented individuals to showcase their skills and connect with audiences worldwide.
