APC Leaders Unite in Zamfara Ahead of 2027 Election

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State have praised Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, and Senator Abdulaziz Yari for their efforts in strengthening the party. The APC Solidarity Network commended the duo for engineering a significant wave of defections from other parties, which is expected to bolster the party’s chances in the 2027 elections.

Currently, Zamfara State is governed by Governor Dauda Lawal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who won the 2023 gubernatorial election. Matawalle and Yari, both former governors of the state, have been instrumental in rebuilding the APC’s structure and unity. Their collaboration has been credited with strengthening the party’s position in the state ahead of the 2027 general election.

The stakeholders praised Matawalle’s loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and his contributions to the Renewed Hope Agenda. They also commended Yari’s unwavering support and close collaboration with Matawalle, which has enhanced the party’s unity and structure. The APC Solidarity Network described the synergy between the two leaders as a powerful message of cohesion and renewed determination within the Zamfara APC.

The stakeholders warned against any campaign of calumny against Matawalle, emphasizing that his dedication to his ministerial duties and the Renewed Hope Agenda has delivered positive results for Nigeria and the North West region. They expressed confidence that the state will deliver a landslide victory for the APC in 2027, citing the renewed partnership between Matawalle and Yari as a key factor.

The harmonious relationship between the two leaders has re-energized the APC base in the state, bridging political divides and restoring confidence among party loyalists. The APC Solidarity Network described Matawalle and Yari as “pillars of hope and progress” whose joint efforts will ensure that Zamfara remains an APC stronghold. With their continued collaboration, the stakeholders believe that Zamfara State will be a key area of focus for the APC in the lead-up to the 2027 elections.
