Coalition: ADC presents membership cards to David Mark, Aregbesola

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) faction led by Hon. Nafiu Bala has reaffirmed its commitment to restoring the party’s integrity and former glory. In a statement issued in Abuja, Bala warned that the party has been infiltrated by certain politicians who have not followed proper procedures to join the organization. He said these individuals are presenting themselves as party leaders despite not being duly registered members, and their actions have introduced negative elements that have disrupted the ADC’s previously peaceful structure—an environment many Nigerians had hoped would position the party as a leading opposition force in 2027.

Bala asserted that his faction is working diligently to recover the party’s reputation, which he believes has been compromised by these unauthorized entrants. He described them as “political vagabonds” who have sneaked into the party through unconventional means, aiming primarily to create confusion among members and impose a leadership unrecognized by the party’s core base. He urged the infiltrators to cease their activities and to register properly with the ADC if they wish to become legitimate members.

The faction leader advised prospective members to adhere to the party’s rules and regulations, beginning with registration at the ward level. He emphasized that this process is essential for maintaining the party’s integrity and ensuring that only genuine members participate in its activities.

The ADC has long been a significant player in Nigeria’s political landscape, and its internal dynamics are being closely watched as the country approaches the 2027 elections. The party’s ability to resolve internal conflicts and present a unified front will be crucial to its effectiveness as an opposition force. Consequently, the developments within the ADC are likely to have broader implications for the nation’s political environment, and the party’s leadership will remain under scrutiny as it navigates these challenges. As Nigeria prepares for the upcoming elections, observers and the public will closely monitor the ADC’s internal struggles and its efforts to restore integrity.
