Insecurity: APC, PDP don’t care about Nigerians - ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Imo State has launched a membership registration exercise across all 27 local government areas (LGAs) as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence and organizational structure ahead of the 2027 general elections. The initiative aims to boost grassroots mobilization, especially in rural areas.

James Okoroma, the state chairman of the ADC, said the registration underscores the party’s commitment to deepening its roots in Imo and promoting effective democracy through inclusive governance. He argued that Nigeria’s development has been hindered by a misguided approach, calling for a change in direction. According to Okoroma, the ADC represents a movement for renewal, driven by Nigerians from diverse backgrounds who are willing to make sacrifices for future generations.

The party’s vision is to establish a new government that prioritizes critical sectors such as education, healthcare, technology, security, and improved living standards. Okoroma urged members to remain united, loyal, and steadfast in upholding the party’s ideals of integrity, empathy, and competence.

The membership registration exercise began with a gathering of key stakeholders, including party leaders, LGA chairmen, and ward chairmen from nine selected council areas. This step is seen as significant for consolidating the ADC’s presence in Imo State and positioning it for greater impact in the upcoming elections. By focusing on grassroots mobilization and organizational strengthening, the ADC aims to enhance its chances of success in the 2027 general elections and contribute to Nigeria’s democratic development.
