Insecurity: APC, PDP don’t care about Nigerians - ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Imo State has called on its members to maintain unity and exercise restraint in discussions, especially regarding the recent Anambra State governorship election. The appeal aims to preserve the party’s core values of unity, integrity and progress.

In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Chief Macdonald Amadi, the ADC noted internal conversations about the performance of Mr. Peter Obi—a respected member of the party’s coalition and a prominent Nigerian statesman—in the Anambra election. Some members have been analyzing the outcome in specific wards and local government areas, focusing on Mr. Obi’s results. While such discussions may stem from passion and commitment, the party warned that they could destabilize the organization and undermine its unity if not managed carefully.

Consequently, the ADC urges members to refrain from making comments or engaging in dialogue that could be perceived as derogatory toward Mr. Obi or any other coalition partner. The leadership emphasized that prioritizing party unity and integrity is essential as the ADC approaches future electoral challenges.

Looking ahead, the party remains committed to building a stronger, more united, and effective political platform that serves the interests of its people and the nation. Its focus will be on strengthening party structures, enhancing grassroots support, and developing policies that address the needs and aspirations of its constituents. The ADC will continue to engage with members, coalition partners and the broader community to remain a beacon of hope and progress in Imo State and beyond.

By rejecting divisive rhetoric and behavior, the ADC believes its members can achieve great things and make a meaningful difference in the lives of their people. As the party navigates the complexities of Nigerian politics, its commitment to unity and progress will be crucial to shaping future success.
