Anambra Guber: 'Some politicians sleeping in INEC office, trying to do wuruwuru' - Soludo

Jude Ezenwafor, the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the recent Anambra State governorship election, said he is ready to work with Governor Chukwuma Soludo to advance the state’s development. In an interview on Channels Television’s “Sunrise Daily,” Ezenwafor highlighted his long‑standing, cordial relationship with Soludo, noting that he is well‑positioned to support the governor. He recalled that, while serving as Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Willie Obiano, he helped persuade Soludo to run for the governorship. Ezenwafor praised Soludo’s performance, saying, “He came, he did well, and there is no perfect person,” and emphasized that his goodwill reflects a commitment to the state’s interests over partisan ties.

Addressing Anambra’s security challenges, Ezenwafor commended Soludo and his team for their proactive approach but urged the governor to prioritize inclusivity and strengthen security operations to better address citizens’ concerns. This advice underscores the need for a comprehensive strategy to tackle the state’s complex security issues.

Ezenwafor also responded to allegations of vote‑buying during the election, describing the claims as exaggerated. While acknowledging that some irregularities may have occurred, he suggested they were not as widespread as reported. He called for constructive dialogue among stakeholders to strengthen the electoral process.

Ezenwafor’s pledge to collaborate with Governor Soludo signals a positive step toward unity in Anambra’s political landscape. By setting aside partisan differences, both leaders can focus on pressing needs such as security, development, and good governance. Their cooperation could yield significant benefits for the citizens of Anambra, contributing to the state’s growth and prosperity.
