Airtel Africa has announced that its Senior Independent Non‑Executive Director, Andrew Green, will retire on 29 January 2026, as disclosed in a recent filing with the Nigerian Exchange (NGX). The transition forms part of Airtel Africa’s ongoing efforts to maintain effective governance and leadership in a rapidly evolving telecommunications landscape. With a strong foundation in place, the appointment of Gebreyes is expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the Board, positioning the company well to navigate the challenges and opportunities in the African telecommunications market.
